CLARIFICATION TEXT

The scope of processing of your personal data by Events Turkey (hereinafter referred to as the Company) is explained below. Personal data owners are the persons whose personal data are collected, processed and transferred in accordance with the provisions of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter referred to as the "KVK Law") and other legislation.

As Data Controller, eventsturkey. com, as described in this Clarification Text, will be able to record, store, update your personal data as described in this Clarification Text, and in cases where the legislation or agreements allow or require it, it may be transferred to third parties (relatives of the service recipient and / or public and / or private legal entities where the service recipient is an employee / insured, other public and/or private legal entities, third parties from whom our companies receive services or cooperate in order to carry out their activities for the purposes specified in the legislation to which our companies are subject), transfer, classify and process them in the ways specified in the KVK Law and the relevant legislation.

Events Turkey shows maximum sensitivity to the security of personal data. With this awareness, we process the personal data of personal data owners as explained below and within the limits set by the legislation.

1- Definitions

- Personal Data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person,

- Personal Data Protection Law ("KVKK"): Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, which entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette on April 7, 2016,

- Data Processor: The natural or legal person who processes Personal Data on behalf of the Data Controller based on the authorization granted by the Data Controller,

- Data Controller: The natural or legal person who determines the purposes and means of processing personal data and is responsible for the establishment and management of the data recording system, refers to.

2- About the Data Controller

Your personal data may be processed by Events Turkey within the scope of KVK Law No. 6698. Within the scope of the Law, the company is accepted as the data controller.

3- Collection, Processing and Processing Purposes of Personal Data

- Although your personal data may vary depending on the services provided by our Company and the commercial activities of our Company; it may be collected verbally, in writing or electronically by automatic or non-automatic methods, all contracts / information forms and other documents related to the transactions issued with your consent and / or signature, our Company's units and departments, website, social media channels, mobile applications and similar means in order to fully and duly fulfill its contractual and legal obligations.

- Your personal data is processed electronically and through printed documents through our platform, call center, etc. in connection with and limited to the purposes of completing your membership transactions through the portal related to the services to be provided by Events Turkey and fulfilling our legal, financial and commercial obligations, managing our internal audit and compliance processes, conducting sales-related accounting processes, ensuring transaction security, fulfilling company global risk management procedures and policies and carrying out company reporting activities.

Events Turkey may process in a limited and measured manner in connection with the purposes specified in this article, including but not limited to the following

- Contact Data (name, title, address, e-mail, phone numbers),

- Identity Data (Date of birth, gender, marital status),

- Your voice (your voice call recordings kept in accordance with Events Turkey customer representative or call center standards),

- For identification purposes, where necessary, a documentary proof of identity, such as a copy of your current passport and a recent document showing your residential address, such as a utility bill, and any other document verifying your identity,

- Financial Data (bank account information, financial regulations and contracts, bank statements, other financial data you provide in your voice call records kept in accordance with call center standards),

- Where required, payment and transaction information for a payment to a financial company and the financial company's details,

- Technical Data and Usage Data (usernames and passwords, IP address and other internet-based identifiers, account settings, browser type and versions, time zone and location settings, compatible browser plug-ins, types and versions, operating systems and platform, other technologies on the devices you use to access our website and information about the use of our website, products and services),

- Within the scope of marketing information; personal data processed for the marketing of our products and services by customizing them in line with the usage habits, tastes and needs of the person concerned, and the reports and evaluations created as a result of these processing results,

- Within the scope of audiovisual records; call center records, visual information processed for various processes and

- Within the scope of location information; address and location information.

Your personal data collected may be processed in accordance with the basic principles stipulated by the KVK Law and within the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVK Law.

In addition, your personal data may be processed when you use our call center or website to use Company services, when you visit our Company or our website, when you participate in various organizations in which our company participates.

4- To whom and for what purpose and how the processed personal data can be transferred

Your personal data collected by Events Turkey; limited to the purposes specified within the scope of the personal data processing conditions specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVK Law No. 6698, may be transferred to third parties and institutions in order to ensure the legal, technical and commercial security of the persons in relation with Events Turkey in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVK Law. These persons and institutions may include Events Turkey's business partners and stakeholders, suppliers, shareholders, company officials, third parties from whom we receive consultancy including tax and financial advisors and auditors, regulatory and supervisory bodies, public institutions and organizations legally authorized to receive information, and official authorities such as legally authorized private law/public law legal entities, as well as our business partners and other third parties with whom we cooperate in order to develop or carry out our services for the purposes specified in the law, and our business partners and other third parties. and 9. of the Law within the framework of the personal data transfer conditions and purposes specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the Law, as well as to third parties in the country or abroad.

5- Method and Legal Reason for Collecting Your Personal Data

Your personal data is processed in all kinds of verbal, written or electronic media, in order to provide our services in line with the above-mentioned purposes and in this context, in order for Events Turkey to fulfill its obligations arising from the contract and the law completely and accurately, and in any case, in accordance with the practices of eventsturkey.com and the customs of its commercial life, limited to the period required to be processed, and after the expiration of the periods, it is deleted, destroyed or anonymized.

Your personal data collected by these methods may also be processed and transferred for the purposes specified in this text within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVK Law in accordance with the basic principles stipulated by the KVK Law.

In addition to these, in cases explicitly stipulated in the laws, your data that is mandatory for EventsTurkey to fulfill its legal obligation as the data controller, that is made public by the person concerned, that must be processed for the legitimate interests of our company, which has the title of data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the person concerned, can only be used for the realization of the purposes enumerated in this sentence in the event that the periods specified under this heading expire. For these reasons, your stored personal data will not be allowed to be accessed for any other purpose and can only be used within the scope of exigent circumstances. In the event of the expiration of the aforementioned compulsory situations, your personal data will be duly deleted, destroyed or anonymized.

Events Turkey processes your personal data based on legal grounds such as legitimate interest, relevant agreements, legal obligations and your explicit consent and for the purposes set out below.

- To enable customers to create accounts and use tools on our website, such as the valuation and interview appointment functions,

- Transacting with suppliers for goods and services,

- Transferring ownership documents, including acting in conjunction with finance companies (where applicable),

- Maintain up-to-date records as required by law and internal management policies,

- To ensure the proper operation and performance of our website, to monitor the use, security and reputation of our website on an ongoing basis and to check and improve its functionality for users,

- To determine and enforce our legal rights and obligations, to observe to identify and record fraudulent activities that may be carried out over the internet, to prevent and detect criminal behavior,

- To fulfill our legal obligations regarding data security,

- Communication and contact with you,

- Conducting customer satisfaction surveys and

- Sending a newsletter.

6- Retention Periods of Personal Data

We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary in connection with the legal rights and obligations of both parties during your relationship with us and thereafter following the end of your relationship. This may mean that we will keep some types of personal data for longer than others, but we will generally keep your personal data for a limited period of time. This period depends on a number of factors, including

- the laws or regulations we are required to apply;

- whether there are any legal or other disputes between you or third parties and us;

- the type of information we have about you; and

- we are requested by you or a regulatory authority to retain your personal data for a valid reason.

When the periods required to be kept by law expire, judicial processes are completed or other requirements are eliminated, personal data are deleted, destroyed or anonymized by our company automatically or upon the request of the person concerned.

7- Explicit Consent

- This Explicit Consent Text has been prepared to obtain the explicit consent of the personal data owner for the processing of personal data within the scope of the matters detailed in the Clarification Text prepared in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.  

- I have read and understood the matters specified in the Clarification Text. I hereby freely and explicitly consent to the processing and transfer of my general personal data collected by the methods specified in the Clarification Text and my personal data regarding name, surname, telephone, profession, address, e-mail, which I have submitted during the application process, for the purposes detailed in the Clarification Text.

- I freely and expressly consent to the transfer of my information specified in Article 2 of this Explicit Consent Text to authorized official institutions and organizations and legally authorized private persons in order to fulfill the legal obligation.

8- Your Rights as a Personal Data Owner

Your legal rights in relation to any personal data we hold about you are set out below in accordance with Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law. Your exercise of these rights will naturally be restricted where we use it in business records and business communications where we need to keep limited business-related personal data, depending on the circumstances.

We would like to state that as a data controller, you have the following rights in accordance with Article 11 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data:

- To learn whether your personal data is being processed,

- Request information if your personal data has been processed,

- To learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether they are used in accordance with their purpose,

- To know the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,

- To request correction of your personal data in case of incomplete or incorrect processing and to notify third parties that the transaction made within this scope has been transferred to your personal data,

- Although your data has been processed in accordance with the relevant provisions of the law and other regulations, to request the deletion of your personal data in the event that the reasons requiring processing disappear or are requested to be destroyed, and to notify third parties if your personal data transferred in this context is processed,

- Object to the occurrence of a result against you by analyzing your processed data exclusively through automated systems,

- In case of damage due to unlawful processing of your personal data, to demand the compensation of the damage.

In case you have any rights or requests for your rights listed above, you can use your applications in the following ways by filling out the Kvkk Application Form on the website www.eventsturkey.com, including the necessary information identifying your identity and your explanations regarding the right you request to use from the rights specified in Article 11 of the KVK Law;

- In order to learn what your processed personal data are, whether they are used in line with the purpose of processing, to learn the third parties to whom personal data are transferred domestically or abroad, to change, update and/or delete your personal data in case of incomplete or incorrectly processed personal data or in case of any change in your processed personal data, and to request notification of this situation to third parties to whom your personal data are transferred, you can access your account from the "My Account" section of the www.eventsturkey.com website, mobile application and mobile site and make the necessary changes, updates and/or deletions.

 

Applications must be made in Turkish. Applications must include name, surname and signature if the application is in writing, T.R. identification number for citizens of the Republic of Turkey, nationality, passport number/identification number for foreigners, residential or workplace address for notification, e-mail address for notification, telephone or fax number and the subject of the request.

 

Events Turkey may request additional verifications (such as sending a message to your registered phone number, calling) in order to determine whether the application belongs to the person and thus protect the rights of the person.

 

Depending on the nature of the request in your application, it will be finalized free of charge as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest. However, if the transaction requires an additional cost, the fee in the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged.

 

We notify as "Data Controller" within the scope of KVKK.
